All about the Data

DATA

The word data is derived from the Latin word "Datum" (singular) that means "particles of sand". Data is the basic part to identify visible or invisible object, item, person etc. (e.g. Arvind, age, 30). Data is being composed showing a well defined meaning. The data is commonly used for both singular and plural form. Data can be defined as facts, observations, assumption or occurrence.



Elements of data
1. Alphabetical characters (e.g. A, B, C ......, Y, Z)
2. Digits/Numerical characters (e.g. 0,1,2,3........)
3. Special characters or symbols (e.g. +,-,#,*,/ )
